Best Streaming Sticks

Plug-in sticks that turn any TV into a smart TV. Heads up: the 2026 Fire TV Stick HD and newer Fire sticks run Amazon's Vega OS, which blocks installing apps from outside the Amazon store. If you use apps like Downloader, stick with the models below.

  1. Pros

    • Fastest Fire TV stick
    • 16 GB storage - room for plenty of apps
    • Wi-Fi 6E support

    Cons

    • Costs more than the regular 4K stick
    • No built-in Ethernet

  2. Pros

    • Solid 4K performance
    • Supports Wi-Fi 6

    Cons

    • Half the storage of the 4K Max
    • Easy to confuse with the 4K Select, which doesn't allow outside app installs - check the exact name

  3. Pros

    • Good everyday 4K streaming
    • Supports Wi-Fi 6

    Cons

    • Not as quick as the 4K Max
